Hip Spacers have Gentamycin as antibiotic.

Gentamycin is a very potent antibiotic effective against most gram negative and positive bacterias.

Bacterial resistance is not so much for gentamycin. It has an effect of damage to the bacterial membranes of bone infection.

Topical usage of gentamycin for bone infection is safe and effective. That is demonstrated with several studies.
